We Create Community Through People, Parks, and Programs

Community Centers offer a variety of indoor and outdoor recreational and learning opportunities for all ages. The centers are available to rent for social and civic activities.

Mt. Pleasant, Sterling, Brutontown and Freetown offer gyms ideal for parties, receptions, athletic events and activity rooms for smaller gatherings like showers and birthdays. Mt. Pleasant offers an annex that is suitable for groups of up to 150. The historic Sterling gym is a favorite among Sterling High School alumni for reunions.

Piney Mountain and Woodfield offer activity rooms that accommodate up to 50. All rentals require a three-hour minimum.

After School Programs are offered at Mt. Pleasant, Happy Hearts, Sterling, Freetown, and Brutontown Community Centers and Slater Elementary School. Activities include sports, homework assistance, arts & crafts, and special events.
Registration is ongoing during the school year.
