Join us for a day of fun at Discovery Island Waterpark, South Carolina's award winning aquatic facility. Enjoy time with your family by floating around our Lazy Day Lagoon or step it up a notch with a PLUNGE down one of our outrageous slides Hurricane Hazard or Cyclone Zone or for those seeking just a “little” bit more adventure seek out our newest attraction the “FlowRider” a wave like simulated ride.

Exclusive Rentals:
Admission Includes up to 800 Guests, no outside food or drink allowed, concessions available upon request, ½ payment (nonrefundable) required to hold date with balance due 14 days before scheduled party.

Group Admission Rate: (Group rates only apply during group reservation hours 12:30pm-3pm)
- $8.00 per person
- $11.00 per person includes hot dog, bag of chips and juice box
- $75.00 nonrefundable credit card or check payment to hold a date, payment will be applied to overall payment day of arrival
- Group reservation hours 12:30pm – 3:00pm
- Group rates apply to groups of 25 or larger that have a reservation, only during group hours
- Group rates are available by reservation only, and only during group hours
- Walk-in groups will not be accepted at the group rate
- Group reservations must be made at least 1 week in advance with a credit card and are based on availability
- Groups must confirm total guests attending the park at least 3 days prior to visit, payment in full is expected at this time for admission
- Groups that cannot attend the park on the day that is originally scheduled with the $75.00 non-refundable credit card payment may reschedule to another open date if
another date is not open the $75.00 will not be refunded
- If reschedule date is unavailable monies can be placed on GCRD account to be used for other activities within GCRD

Birthday Parties
- $145.00 Includes admission into the park for up to 10 guests of your choice and 2 hours in one of our Coconut Party Huts. All guests who enter the park are required to pay an admission fee. Only birthday cake, cup cakes, or cookie can be brought into the park for a Birthday Party. No other outside food or drink including ice cream and water.
- Payment in full is required to hold date, no refunds if unable to attend but party may be rescheduled to another available date or time if available or monies can be placed on GCRD account to be used for other activities within GCRD

Flowrider Parties:
(reservations only accepted 7 days in advance)
- $400.00 per hour
- $700.00 for two hours

Swimming Lessons

• A minimum of 4 students are required to hold a class.
• Classes are set up where there is 1 instructor per every 6 students |
Swim Lesson Curriculum
Level 1:
Ideal for the beginning swimmer who has never been exposed to water
- Assisted front float
- Assisted back float
- Face submersion (Bubble blowing)
- Basic water safety
- Assisted exit from pool
Level 2:
Geared for the swimmer with a general water comfort level, must have taken Level 1 or equivalent to enroll in this class
- Front float
- Back float
- Front and Back flutter kick
- Front and Back float to streamline
- Retrieve objects from bottom
Level 3:
Perfect for that swimmer who is ready to explore the water on their own, must have taken Level 2 or equivalent to enroll in this class
- Roll front to back and back to front
- Overarm crawl
- Rotary breathing
- Back crawl

FlowRider Lessons:
Group Bodyboarding, Kneeboarding or Boogie Boarding
Saturday classes will begin tentatively on June 13

Please Remember
Discovery Island Water Park supplies free of charge a limited number of ride tubes and USCG approved flotation devices. Other such devices are not permitted in the park |
General Guidelines:
• Children 12 years and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult or guardian at all times
• No outside food, drink, coolers, water toys, water wings, or floats are allowed inside the park.
• Swim diapers or snug fitting plastic pants must be worn by non-potty trained children
• No glass containers in or around pool
• No running, rough playing or diving anywhere in the park
• Appropriate swimwear required.
No thong suits allowed. Swimwear must cover undergarments. Cut-off jeans, swimming suits with buckles or rivets and other metal or sharp objects are not allowed
• Smoking is permitted in designated area only

Refund & Rain Policy:
• All admission sales are final.
• Discovery Island will only honor Free Passes, Discovery Bucks, Season Passes and Rain Checks from our current season.
• Discovery Island Water Park may temporarily close for lightning or other inclement weather. If the Water Park closes for more than one continuous hour and you have been in the park for less than two hours, you may get the yellow copy of your receipt initialed and use as a rain check for another day at no charge during our current season. |

I-385 North – Take Standing Springs Rd. Exit #30. Turn right onto Standing Springs Rd. Go through intersection of Standing Springs Road and Neely Ferry Rd. Turn right at the next light onto Baldwin Rd. Park is one-half mile on left.
I-385 South – Take Standing Springs Rd. Exit #30. At end of ramp, go straight through light. Count this as stoplight #1 and continue to third light. Turn right at 3 rd light onto Baldwin Rd. Park is one-half mile on left. |

Mark your calendar for the Second Annual
WAGGIN IN THE WATERPARK
September 12, 2009, time TBA.

Join us on this special day for our four-legged friends to swim in the water park at Discovery Island, located at Southside Park in Simpsonville. Vendors, small and large dog swimming times, and loads of fun! Human guests are welcome, but this day is all about the dogs.
Dogs must meet all requirements of "Waggin at The Waterpark" rules in order to be admitted to the pool.
