Learn to Play Ice Hockey
Learn-to-Play Hockey is an introductory hockey class for children ages
4 - 14. Previous skating experience is required.
INSTRUCTORS: Instructors are USA Hockey Certified Level I thru Master Level.
CLASSES: Each session meets once a week for 8 weeks. Each class lasts 60 minutes and is comprised of a 50 minute lesson and a 10 minute "Pond Hockey Game".
Key points of instruction include:
- Individual skill development
- Fundamental skating
- Puck control
- Passing
- Shooting
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT:
Full hockey equipment is required to participate. Full equipment includes:
- Helmet -Stick
- Gloves -Pants
- Shoulder Pads -Socks
- Elbow Pads -Hockey Skates
- Shooting
WHEN: Mondays 6:30 - 7:30 PM
Session 3: Apr. 28-June 23 *No Class May 26th
Session 4: Aug. 18 - Oct. 13th *No Class September 1st
Session 5: Oct. 20 - Dec. 8
FEE: $125 (In-District: $100)
Once the student has completed the course requirements he or she will
be ready to participate in the In-house Hockey Program (Click Here).
